Protein Balls

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

These Plant based protein balls are loaded with goodness! Made with natural ingredients: nuts, seeds, dates, plant based protein powder and coconut oil, they are then blended in a food processor and rolled out into bite sized balls! Perfect for anytime of the day, whether its a pre-workout snack, a treat or dessert.

Plant based protein balls are practically guilt-free! Made with no nasty additives, numbers or preservatives unlike most protein bars.  They are also gluten-free and refined sugar-free.

PLANT BASED PROTEIN BALLS

The plant based protein balls are super tasty and not overly sweet as they are made from natural ingredients and my favourited iced coffee protein powder.

Protein powder can be added to a number of different breakfasts, sweet dishes and snacks for an extra boost of protein throughout the day. Thats why these bliss balls are a great option for anytime of the day to snack upon.

As you can see, I love to keep my pantry jars and containers organised.  these pantry jar labels are from Love and Labels.

As you can see, these protein balls take just 10 minutes or less to make! They are a super easy recipe for beginners and great if you are time poor.

I just love to make my own protein balls, its so rewarding and saves a lot of money than if you were to purchased protein bars from the supermarket! Plus they are free from additives and nasty hidden ingredients such as fillers, numbers and preservatives!  Whats not to love about making your own protein balls?   Did I mention that they also taste amazing too?

PROTEIN BALL INGREDIENTS

The best way to measure out your ingredients for the protein balls is to use measuring cups as these can be used to scoop out the ingredients from your jars and containers.   I have kept it pretty simple here with the quantities and have gone with using mostly either 1 Cup or 1/3 Cup, yet this seemed to balance out quite well and was very tasty.

  • 1 Cup Cashew nuts
  • 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • A pinch Sea Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Chia Seeds
  • 1/3 Cup Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/3 Cup Hemp Seeds
  • 1/3 Cup Raw Cacao Powder
  • 4 Pitted Medjool Dates
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 Scoop Plant based Protein Powder
  • Water

The method is really simple to make protein balls.  You just combine all your ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until the ingredients are combined.  You may need to slowly add in more water, 1 Tbsp at a time.  This will help to blend the mixture and make it easier to roll into balls and stick together.

Here at Healthy with Danny from San Jose, CA and Beyond, we're all about responsibly enjoying, brewing, sharing and promoting delicious craft beers and the Independent craft breweries and homebrewers that brew them. We're about community, diversity, inclusion and celebrating what makes craft beer awesome. And we're about education, learning and advocacy. Maybe converting too ;) Generally being responsible, fun loving and positive. It's also about transparency, being honest, genuine, authentic and true.

But when shit goes down and it's downright wrong. When craft beer and everything that makes it great is co-opted by Global entities in the name of trying to still look relevant and trying to be hip, I always believe in calling BS out, telling it like it is, holding things to account and boycotting. Especially when it comes to jackin' brands of non-willing participants in greasy Megacorporate schemes. It creates division too. It's not cool.
No control/no monitoring/no accountability. Honestly, it upsets me.

I will always be honest and true, especially when the evidence is there.

Cheers !
