WHAT ARE RICE CAKES/CRACKERS?
Rice crackers/rice and corn cakes are both very similar. They are made from either corn or puffed rice which is then pressed together into a cake. Rice cakes are often eaten as a low-calorie substitute for bread and crackers. There are many different flavours available, from savoury flavours or sweet.
Rice crackers are far healthier than bread or corn chips and you can use a variety of different toppings. Here’s some you may like to try;
Although rice cakes or corn cakes don’t taste like much, it is all about the topping you add to them. I love to add homemade Nutella to mine or nut butter for a quick and easy snack. I find them quite filling so I tend to have one or two at a time.
RICE CRACKER TOPPINGS
- Nut butter – Almond, peanut, hazelnut

- Tomatoes – Sundried and cherry tomatoes with basil and olive oil

QUICK AND EASY TO PREPARE
When I say these took me 5 minutes to prepare, that’s because I always have a big batch of Relish and beetroot jams made up in glass jars because they keep for ages and are so tasty with just about everything.
