Lavoro Restaurant Rockingham

My partner and I dined at Lavoro Restaurant Rockingham on a Tuesday night.  We managed to get parking straight away out the front even though the restaurant was really busy.   It was very noisy, but we didn’t mind as it gave it a good atmosphere. This is definitely the place to come for lunch or dinner with a group of people but is still good for couples also.

We were seated in the second half of the restaurant which was a little quieter. The decor is pretty standard at Lavoro but has that typical Italian restaurant feeling, good traditional Italian food at a good price. As you walk into the restaurant, you can see straight through to the kitchen which looked very clean and well-coordinated.

The manager came over to our table to explain what he could do in the way of Vegan options.

There was a Vegetarian Pasta, bruschetta or Pizza minus the cheese.   Not a great deal of options, but the prices were good and the portion sizes were generous.  The food was very homely and tasty.

We ordered the bruschetta to share to start with (minus the feta), which was plenty between two people as there were 4 slices. it was delicious.  We also shared a bottle of Vegan and Organic Red wine ( they also had the organic vegan wine in a Semillion  Savignon Blanc too) but we love red wine with Italian food.  It was a good choice and I would defiantly order this wine again.

For our mains, I had the Vegetarian pasta (Vegan) which was ok, nothing overly special about it but there was plenty of it, full of vegetables, a little mushy but had lots of flavours.

Some of the pizzas that other customers ordered looked really good. I would probably order a Vegan pizza next time with the wine.

Overall all the staff were very friendly, we didn’t have to wait too long for food, even though it was busy and the menu was simple yet covered a wide range of options.

Will be back again.
