Nobu Perth is one of my favourite restaurants in the crown casino complex. The food, service and wine is exceptional
The decor at Nobu Perth;-
I have visited a few of the Nobu restaurants such as Nobu in Vegas, San Diego and my local favourite Nobu Perth which is located in the Crown Casino complex, Burswood.
It’s highly recommended to book a table at Nobu as they get booked out almost every day. On this particular occasion, we did not book a table at Nobu and just went in spare of the moment, so the hostess sat us down at the sushi bar, which was ok as we could watch the Itamae at work and watch the atmosphere.
An Itamae is a cook, chef) is a cook in a Japanese kitchen or a chef of a large restaurant (especially of high-end Japanese cuisine). The term can be translated literally as “in front of the board,” referring to a cutting board.
YOU MUST ORDER THE NASU MISO NEXT TIME YOU COME TO NOBU! Best dish ever!!
NOBU RESTAURANT PERTH
I Personally love Nobu, it is always my top pick of places to go to if asked to choose a restaurant to dine out at. Whenever I dine at Nobu I usually like to stay at The Crown Towers as you have access to a variety of different restaurants and entertainment and it’s always good to get away for the weekend and relax.
What I love about Nobu is that you can order as many or as few dishes as you want. And they come out almost like tapas, so you can eat slowly and enjoy every individual dish. Plus they have a variety of Vegan options, as well as an extensive wine list.
Nobu is the world’s most recognised Japanese restaurant and is known for its innovative new style Japanese cuisine.
Value for $
Our bill for the two of us came to around $90. (I even had a glass of wine….of course!). I thought it was in-expensive for what we had and we walked away full.
The night before we went for a buffet meal at Epicurean also at Crown casino which was $80pp / $160 where you stuff yourself to get your money worth and end up feeling really shitty for the rest of the evening. So $90 was pretty cheap considering we had top quality food and walked away full but not over the top.
Not only was I craving sushi, but I also was craving the “Nasu Miso” – a miso eggplant dish which is just out of this world! I always order this and even my Omni partner loves this dish. You must try this if you ever visit Nobu!!
As usual, we started with edamame beans. Something so simple yet so tasty and More-ish. They came out almost straight away.
The Service
The service here is really good and the staff have extensive knowledge of each dish. They keep watch on you also when you’re almost done they make preparations for the next dish so that you’re not sitting around watching the kitchen door thinking where is my food!!
My partner and I shared some vegetarian sushi which came with plenty of wasabi which I adore.
I prefer my sushi with lots of avocado in it though, so I ordered an Avocado Temaki sushi roll. Which was prepared in front of us by the Itamae.
It was tasty but rolled a little loose. This would have made a rubbish joint :D.
We also ordered another Vegetable dish and my partner ordered a non-vegan prawn dish and two bowls of rice, so for the price, we were very happy.
I Highly recommend Nobu, Perth as they have lots of Vegan options.
On a separate occasion, we came here for my birthday dinner and ordered a lot more dishes. I didn’t even order off the menu and just asked the waitress to keep bringing me out vegan dishes. From memory everything was perfect and I remember another dish (other than the Nasu Miso, which is my all-time favourite) being really good. That was a sizzling mushroom hot plate dish made with enoki mushrooms.
